[Skimmertalk] skimmer server crash?

The skimmers are on dedicated gigabit switches that nothing else uses so I doubt it’s the network.
I’ll have to watch and see if it happens more when the aggregator switches or at some other time.

The fact that your 6x96ksps receiver runs fine points to a LAN bandwidth issue.
8x192ksps produces a LOT of traffic and requires gigabit performance end to end.
CW Skimmer Server reacts on delayed or lost packets by crashing. Not very constructive,
but that how it works.
If both crashed that could have pointed to e.g. your router. Some older routers pause
traffic briefly when doing things like renewing WAN IP address lease.

In the last few days I have been finding the cw skimmer server crashed when
I get up in the morning. pushing the 'now' button on the aggregator to
restart the day ini brings it back. anyone else seeing that? I haven't
tried to figure out if it is the day or night one that is crashing yet. this
is doing 8x192khz bands day and night with the new rp. The rtty skimmer
doing 6x96khz on the 2nd receiver of the same rp seems to keep on running.
