Hello Mike,
I don't think this is the cause because I keep my DXspider always up-to-date when I receie Jims newsletter. My DXspider node is updated as explained here (http://www.country-files.com/dx-cluster/dx-spider/). I still get those weird letters for some spots, here again:
28-May-2019 1918Z EA4DE BA-CC-CR-CU-GU-M-TO-EA 7155.0 EA4GJP ULTIMAS LLAMADAS EAFF-0087
any clues?

The data generally comes from the AD1C list. I have it automated for updating on WA9PIE-2. Some folks don't updated it at all... ever... so the data gets stale and connected users will say that "the country shown is wrong"... when it's just not being updated.
For this spot, I think the only way to determine the correct country is by parsing off the suffix from the end of "Andalusia-EA".

Hello Dirk,
I am using the CC11 raw output to parse to my webcluster interface I am currently experimenting on. I have some spots like:
28-May-20191822ZEA3LAB-GI-L-T-EA50150.1SP1MGM
28-May-20191822ZEA4DFEBA-CC-CR-CU-GU-M-TO-EA18135.0EA4DFECq ea
28-May-20191827ZEA3EVLB-GI-L-T-EA50181.8IN3FPJ
and the raw CC11 packet looks like that:
CC11^50181.8^EA3EVL^28-May-2019^1827Z^^IN3FPJ^34^85^EA4RCH-5^37^14^28^15^^^B-GI-L-T-EA^Trentino-Alto-Adige-I^^JN56
As I am using the circumflex as field separator I store the data into an array. The field marked here with yellow background usually indicates the Country/Region name of the spotted call. In this example and some more I get weird letters separated by a dash as shown on the above example line/s. I guess they stand for a prefix but I have no clue how they are generated from. On most spots they are correct but on those example I get only a bunch of letters as shown. I have recognized that the tail of this Country/Region field (I have marked it with bold text in the yellow text) is indicating the correct prefix of that spotted country. In this example EA for Spain.
So my 1st question is:
Where does this information come from and why does it show such weird letter combinations for some spots?
My 2nd question is:
Some spotted calls contain in that field information like...
CC11^50094.0^AM70C^28-May-2019^1836Z^QSYed by QRM CW^EA1WX^34^34^EA4URE-5^37^14^37^14^^^Andalusia-EA^AV-BU-C-LE-LO-LU-O-OU-P-PO-S-SA-SG-SO-VA-ZA-EA^IN52^
I am looking for a solution to get the correct DXCC name for this spot, in that case SPAIN. Is there any way to read out this information from a DXspider line or do I have to use another sort of conversion tools/libs? Are you aware of a solution which shows the correct DXCC for the spotted call and which allows me also to display the corresponding country flag for that particular country?
looking forward to your reply, thank you so much in advance.
