10W seems like it should have broken something. None of the components are rated for that much power. Maybe the high SWR caused the transmitter to put out much less than 10W.
Last month, I missed connection of two RPs,
I directry applied 10W from RP-14 tranceiver to RP-10
via 14:1 transformer. but fortunately RP-10 does not die.
