Back to the original issue, the throttling of spots on high CPU utilization with multiple WSJT-X instances on a Windows PC.
I converted my RP16 to do all the FT8 work (SM7IUN’s software) and it is amazing. All bands skimming FT8, the RP is at 50 C and my spot count is about double. That RP is quite a little work horse.
On the negative side, I had to get my CW spots with different means.
Wouldn’t it be nice to run on RP and skim for FT8, CW, RTTY all in one box? My dream…

I did some test this afternoon with my Core i7 -4790 CPU @ 3.60 GHz with 8GB of RAM
CW and RTTY on 160, 80, 40, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10
CW and RTTY on 160, 80, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10
CW and RTTY on 6 bandas: 160, 20, 17, 15, 12 y 10
Is there a way to have 8 bands on CW and 3 or 4 bands on RTTY?
thanks!

I have found that limiting the RTTY skimming bandwidth on 40 meters can make a big difference in CPU utilization
