I use SDR-IQ for skimming. The antenna is a Wellbrook loop some 500 ft away from the shack and oriented to null the TX signals. It works pretty well, as I am able to spot signals some 5 KHz from the transmit frequency even at a KW level. But the setup is single-band.
If I change to Red Pitaya, how much time does it take to set up everything for an expert, and for a casual user who knows Linux? Since Red Pitaya has no bandpass filtering, is it easily blocked by TX signals on any band?
