OMNI VI noise blanker

Hello, 
many thanky for the many responses to my question about the noise 
blanker. I could not test it until last week, because my house was 
struck by lightning and most of the equipment in the shack broke though 
I had unplugged everything and the antennas disconnected!
Fortunately the OMNI VI is still ok, only the power supply had to be 
repaired. 
Anyhow now I know the noise blanker is working. I tested it with a 
battery hand drill as suggested. Apparently there is no noise to be 
blanked in my location, which was suprising to me, because I live 
almost at the center of a middle sized town in Germany.
