New grease will work. I've done it before. But, removing the old grease
requires taking the pto apart anyway. $20 is not a bad deal so you may as
well go ahead and replace the parts. On the OMNI D, one of the original
bushings was plastic and the replacement is bronz. It should last longer.
Replacing the dial skirt gave me fits at first until I learned how to tie
the thread on it to hold it in place. 73
