The one thing I would add (or rather, subtract) is that once I bought a
Ranger II that had never been outside, stored poorly, etc. but was YELLOW
with nicotine stains. I ultimately had to sell it as a parts unit due to
the deterioration of the wiring-even the line cord had become brittle and
cracked! I don't know if the nicotine/whatever else in smoke did it or not,
but it had sat inside, on the guy's operating bench under 'normal'
conditions for years, with nothing else I know of to cause it... and it was
the last time for me. It could have been something else, but just the
cleaning job alone required by a badly exposed unit is not worth the time
it takes without the unit having some serious attraction value/rarity for me.
