My slightly educated guess is no. Ten Tec design philosophy in the final
tuned circuits doesn't leave much room for fudging. Besides, it's a hell
of a fudge to jump 20 MHz.

I may go out on a limb here, but if I know Ten Tec (hey, did anyone else
predict that the new QRP kits would not be available until FQ 97?) I
would say in a year or two (when sunspots return) the Scout or its
replacement will be able to jump to 6M and TT will sell a boatload of 'em
to the tech lites.

That's unless TANDY (marketing WIZARDS really!) reintroduce a clone of the
old HX-100 10M all-mode, as a six meter rig. Their asian plants could
produce that mechanically assembled box for well under $200 and let RS
sell them for $349... they won't be able to build enough of them.

The gauntlet has dropped, Jack. Let's see that six meter Scout! My
Mastercard number awaits.
