Bill: This may or may be be related, but Ten-Tec did have some problems
early in the OMNI-VI with an eyelet on the PA board.
Apparently the eyelet would corrode from heat and not allow current
to flow.
This eyelet is where the +13.8 volts enters the board, a large red lead.
If you have the opportunity to get into the pa section, check and make
sure the large red lead is well soldered to the foil of the board, and
not just to the eyelet. (Ten-Tec's service dep't can fill you in on any
details).
