An interesting thought. What I would really like to have is an external VFO
for my Argo (the QRP version of the Scout) that would provide the signal
now provided by the PTO but would be digitally derived and controllable. It
would need only a single control, a tuning knob. This would provide much
more flexible tuning with just a small sacrifice in rx noise. One could add
memories and a PC interface, but all I want is a bit easier time when
tuning this fine rig.
