Hello:
Birdies present on 10 meters in the Omni V, VI, and VI Plus are
unfilterable by-products of the mixing scheme we use in the
transceivers. As I have pointed out before, we do not feel it is a
performance related issue and there is no "fix" for them. A few
of these may be noticeable but most are indeed down at the noise
level. We have always been up-front discussing this issue when
asked, as we consider the presence of some birdies on 10 meters
insignificant compared to the overall receiver performance of these
three rigs.
