Dear Colleagues,

I want to be sure abt the relay connection specs on the OMNI VI before I use the Heathkit SSB-220 linear. The Heathkit has 120 VDC across its relay coil, which must be grounded in order to transmit. The OMNI VI relay is a Millionspot H500S12-1-C. Is this relay capable of switching the 120 VDC directly or do I need an external relay? Also, should a place a 1n4007 diode across the Heathkit coil? This SSB-220 has no modifications - it is in the original design state. Thank you for your advice in advance.

Mike KF2LF
