But it's gonna be worth the wait! I've had an Omni 6 for six years and just got it converted to the Plus. Will be interesting to hear your opinion after you have operated the radio for a few months.

Don't be too disappointed when you plug in your Heil headset. Heil headsets are designed to work with audio voltage type outputs like the Kenwoods. Icom and TenTec radios do not drive the headphones with very loud audio.

The pin connections for the micraphone are: Pin 1 = audio;  Pin 2 = Ground;  Pin 3 = PTT; and Pin 4 = VDC. If you plan on using VOX only, then of course you only need to hook up pins 1 and 2.

If you ordered the power supply, the DC cable and connector are an intergal part of the power supply. Otherwise you just get a blank connector that fits the back of the Omni.
