A recent posting said that an antenna tuner changes the
SWR on the transmission line. Nothing could be further
from the truth. Nothing can be done at the transmitter
end of the transmission line to change the SWR. We can
use an antenna tuner to achieve a Z0-match at the tuner
which blocks reflections from reaching the transmitter
but that doesn't change the SWR between the tuner and
the antenna.
