[TenTec] Tuning knob adj.

I have a Corsair I and the main tuning control knob has become very
stiff. I removed it and found the felt washer and adjusted it but no
help there.  Even without the felt washer it is still very stiff , is
there another adjustment or does the PTO need replacing?   Thanks for
