[TenTec] Satisfied with OUR company

Hey fellow Teckies,

Let me express to you my satisfaction with the Ten Tec company, on 
behalf of my friend Howard Olds, W9KI.  He had sent in his Scout for 
some repair.  When the rig was shipped back to him, UPS, as they so 
often do, left the rig without his signature.  Maybe it wasn't even HIS 
doorstep.  Anyway, Howard never got his rig back.  

Upon his enquiry,  involving both UPS and Ten Tec,  it was finally 
decided that the rig was lost.  

The end result was that Howard got a brand new Scout from Ten Tec,
and he is as happy as he can be. The new Scout is upgraded beyond 
the one Howard had, with superior stability, etc.  I think it also is one 
with the new surface mount boards.  I'm sure that Ten Tec could have 
resolved the issue with a used scout they may have had on hand, but 
they chose to take the "high road" in order to put their best face on the 
problem.

I was responsible for Howard getting the scout in the first place, so have 
a vested interest in the situation.  Again, Ten Tec, smiles to you from my
