[TenTec] OMNI VI Questions

As a soon to be owner of a OMNI VI had the following questions:

Can I run the xcver from my Astron 20 Amp power supply with no 
problems?  A buddy has an older TenTec power supply from a Corsair
would this be a better alternative?

Whats the best way to set up this up for cw?  It only came with
two 1.8 mhz filters in both the IFs.  This the Omni with the Vers 1
upgrade.
