[TenTec] OMNI VI main tuning knob

Mine is rock solid, Clark. But - is the wobble actually
in the rotary encoder, or in the knob? You might play
with the knob a bit to see if sliding it out away from the
panel and/or adjusting the drag before replacing the
encoder.
By the way, replacing the encoder is a 3 minute job.
It mounts with a nut just like a potentiometer, and has 
a plug for connection. Like I said - three minute from
loosening lid screws to tightening lid screws.
The new encoders are in the $30.00 range.
