Dale,
The SuperScaf is an oldie but goodie...
great for cleaning up audio..I use it on the S-line...never tried it 
on the OMNI VI

I use a pair of Language Lab type headphones for SSB/CW ,they have a 
restricted audio response... Mil surplus still the best for CW

Stereo speakers/headphones are not suited for communications 
applications...too much hiss and crud get through and lead to fatigue.
...

The TT speaker can be helped by stuffing cotton balls in the area 
behind the speaker...
