[TenTec] Upgrade for OMNI VI

Hello Ten Tec fans,
I just got back my OMNI VI with the option 3 upgrade. Everything seems to
be working well; no glitches or problems. I did notice a decrease in audio
output with the AF gain control. I called Ten Tec's Service Dept. They
suggested that the DSP chip on the logic board might be the problem. I
received a replacement DSP chip within 2-3 days. I replaced it and low and
behold, my audio output on receive seemed to be better. You can't beat that
kind of service!! I even got to speak to Tom Salvetti at Ten Tec who
instructed me how to remove the old DSP chip and replace it with the new
one. Tom warned me of the pitfalls that could occur when replacing the
chip. I had no problem installing it.
