[TenTec] 229 Tuner Question

What, please, is the difference between the 229 and 229B models?  Also, is
$175. - $200. shipped a reasonable range for me to consider?  Finally, if
given an option, should I prefer a 229(B) or a Drake MN-2700?  Thanks & 73,
