Obie and group,

Heath would have given a one or two page circuit description and an
illustrated step for each component installation.  Ten Tec devotes
roughly half the book to teaching you the theory and operation of the
design, then lets you work without quite such close supervision.   I
learned to solder and follow directions well in the Heathkit days, now
I'm learning about radios.  I agree, its not a Heathkit, but for me it
is a far better learning tool!
