[TenTec] Paragon FSK keying?

I am going to be setting up my Paragon and PK-232 for the digital modes here
soon, and I seem to recall from doing this years ago, there might be a mod
needed to the Paragon's mark/space input.  I can't seem to find anything in
the manual for the radio or the pk-232.  Does anyone recall this mod? I
think it had to do with putting in a 'pullup" resistor on the input
jack??????
