[TenTec] CORSAIR II

Hello all:
  I have a few questions for the learned members of this list:

	1) I have a Corsair II SN 1174. Can anyone tell me about when this was
manufactured?  If this was an early model are there any modifications that TT
made internally to the latter models? 

	2) At approximately 21.008.5 I have a noise that sounds like a European
police siren. It changes pitch approximately every second - high pitch then 1
second later low pitch. I am assuming it is a logic circuit somewhere pulsing
between on and off.  If I use an antenna tuner I can get rid of the noise but
at the expense of a good match to the antenna. I wonder if it could be
external and somehow mixing inside the receiver?
