Bob,
I leave my Mic setting between 11 o'clock and 12 o'clock with or without
the processor.  I am no ssb expert, using it mostly to check in to the
TT net on Sunday night.  At least Jay and Will can hear me, and neither
has yet complained about my signal.  I really don't even know why I have
it set there.
