I think that you are making a good "left-handed" case for computer radios
with which the software - readily changeable and customizable if done
right - defines the user interface, control locations, functions, etc.

I know that a lot of us still like the feel of a good solid tuning knob,
etc. but being able to design one's own front panel - and change it for
various occasions, etc. - might make up for a little mouse or trackball
pushing.

Time will tell, won't it?
