Trouble is that the parts makers, chip makers, transistor makers are no
longer making any parts other than SMT... If you want spares in a few
years you better buy them now or plan on making tiny PC boards to adapt
the latest .01 x .01 package to fit where the DIP or TO-5 transistor
used to fit.
