[TenTec] QSK question

In all fairness, TenTec isn't the ONLY one to have done QSK "right."

My Icom IC-765 does a tremendous job on QSK CW. The only requirement is
that the sidetone volume level be adjusted to "fit" with the general
signal level being worked. Then, it just sounds like another station in
the receiver. There is no sensation whatsoever of VOX-like operation.

Not anti-TenTec at all here, guys and gals, but just wanted to pass along
that some other designers have come pretty close even if they might not
have it exactly right!   ;^)
