[TenTec] OMNI-D ON 30M

My OMNI-D (SERIES B) receives on 30M but does not transmit. I was told a few 
months back you need a board to get to to transmit on 30M. Yesterday I saw a 
post where someone had stated that on some models of the OMNI-D all it takes 
is a snip of a jumper to get it to transmit in that band (like the IC-730 for 
example).

Is there any validity to the jumper wire fix? (SERIAL NO. 546-2356)
