Some of the coax switches (those which are cast) are made for MFJ by offshore
contractors.  Those sometimes have problems with set screws being arcane
types, and easily stripping out.  But, once such an obvious failing was fixed
by a better screw, no more problems.

MFJ is developing more in house capability.  I had a distinct pleasure in
visting with Martin Jue about his upcoming kits in the Vectronics line at Ham
Com before they came out.  He is very willing to spend some extensive time for
hearing serious comments on improvements to his products.  This is a company
which literally started on a shoestring, and still builds some of their
manufacturing equipment, and works from facilities that in some cases had
other commercial uses, and thus were available for less money.  That is how he
keeps his product price within reason.
