Jim, you wrote,

"I was ready to order the 2.800 filter until I spoke with Paul @ Ten-Tec.
He reminded me the specs, spurs, harnonics would not be guaranteed w/ it
vs the stock 2.4. As 75% SSB & 25% CW op, this concerned me, so I ordered
the 2.1 to add to the other 4 filters. I was interested in enhancing the
sSb quality as well as the CW "chirp." Looks like plug # 52 is the "magic
bullet" for now."

Well, I don't know how much weight to give to all this. After all, the
bandwidth is only marginally increased; can it let all that bad stuff get
thru?

BTW, I noticed there is less loss with the 2.8. The drive control is now
slightly backed off for the same output.

I operate only CW at present, so have not performed any tests on SSB. It
should sound great for xmitting natural audio to friends on round tables.
Especially if they have 2.8s installed too?

Thanks for the interest; 73, Roy K6XK
