[TenTec] 301 and Omni VI+

Tell me what your wiring scheme is, Robert.

It should work when you plug it in.  There are no radio commands to
turn it on/off.

Suspect that there is a wiring error somewhere.  Do you have 5 volts
where you are supposed to have 5 volts?  Do you have ground where you
are supposed to have ground?  Have you monitored the phase 0 and phase
1 voltage outputs as you rotate the encoder while it is connected to
the radio?

Have you verified the connections in the DB-25 connector?  Check out
my webpage on the 301 and verify your wiring.
