What happended to "single signal reception"? Is the passband not
adjustable? If this a fact then using a typical ssb filter, 2.4khz
would result in double sideband reception and poor selectivity. There
must be either something wrong with your Pegasus or it has a major
design flaw. Can another Pegasus owner verify this for us?

One thing I have noticed when receiving cw and using a filter wider
than 750hz
is that the signal can be heard on both sides of "zero beat". I am
told by
TenTec that this is a characteristic of the radio and not a function
of circuit
alignment. When using the 750hz or narrower filters this does not
occur. I find
the 750 hz filter just fine for casual tuning on the cw band. Comments
