Total bandwidth of 6 KHz requires deviation well under +/- 3 KHz.

Doesn't need a 15 KHz filter, that wouldn't be legal below 29 MHz. For
FM detection it would need a 6 KHz (e.g. AM) filter. With a Tentec its
best received exalted carrier as in receiving AM with a ssb only
receiver. Works great that way.

5 KHz deviation makes a signal at least 15 KHz wide, maybe wider.
