[TenTec] VOX operation Omni 6

I just purchased an Omni 6 with the v3. upgrade. It's my 1st
Ten-Tec radio, I love it already!

I received an el-cheapo TenTec mike with the radio. It works
fine with PTT but can't get it to work in the VOX mode. If I
hold the PTT down with the VOX turned on, the VOX operates
ok. What gives?
