[TenTec] Summarizing Omni 6+/Heil Replies

Thanks to all who replied with some very helpful and insightful info.
There were 6 respondents, 5 are using the HC-5 element.  Two had
tried the HC-4 element but have opted for the HC-5.  One strongly
urged against using the HC-4, one reported his voice characteristics
did not sound like his natural voice.  One built a small preamp
interface to improve the output from the HC-5 and one reported that
the HC-5 had insufficient output to operate the Omni 6+ VOX properly.

What a super reflector.  Thanks to all.

PS: My request for direct replies was an effort to minimize traffic
on a subject I think is of interest to very few on the TenTec reflector.
