[TenTec] receive antenna jack on paragon 1

hello all
	i have a paragon 1, and i was hoping someone can explain to me the
recieving antenna jack provision . Is this  rx jack where a beverage
antenna can be connected to the rig. 
	also what is the purpose of the "RX" "TX" switch just below this rx
antenna jack.
