I haven't looked at the circuit but to do so is relatively easy. You just
monitor the PTO frq and when it changes more then a set limit you change the
voltage applied to a diode (which is acting as a capacitor) to correct the frq.
If it drifts past the range of this circuit you just reset the voltage to
nominal and start again. This will cause a frq jump.
