>What operating system ? Windows ? DOS ?

TRLog contest logging software operates in DOS.

No idea.

>Curious -= what is the 305 for ?

The Model 305 is an RS-232 level converter--have you an ARRL
Handbook for Radio Amateurs (specifically, 1995)? Check the
Station Setup and Accessory Projects, Transceiver/Computer
Interfaces--I'm sure it's still in the newer Handbooks. It
converts the DB25/DB9 COMport TXD/RXD lines at the computer to be
carried on a single line bus (miniature phone plug) which
connects to the radio.

The keying problem has nothing to do with the operating system or
whether it's 16 or 32 bit software. The problem is occurring
inside the Delta. As I said the Delta's sidetone CW is perfect:
no truncated, lost, garbled characters. The Delta's CW RF
output, on the otherhand is garbled CW--so bad, that I can't even
detect my call out of it.

Believe it or not, I was so confident that it worked well, that I
never checked to RF output to see what it sounded like until in
the contest, a station sent "??" a few times, then said "your
signal is garbled". I swung the Omni down to harmonic of the
Delta's freq and, sure enough, crap for CW.

Any help would be appreciated.
