[TenTec] [Q] Pegasus distorted xmit audio?

I have had two email's saying they are getting reports of distorted xmit
audio on their brand new Pegasus radios. I hooked up an old Astatic mic
from an OMNI-D and got on 10M and I received similar reports in four
QSO's. I recall reading a msg on a reflector that said one of the new
radios had a bad voltage regulator (VCO?) but I didn't keep the msg.

Has anyone spoken with TenTec support and resolved this?
