[TenTec] corsair digital display.

has anyone had problems with the digital display on a corsair I?
The display was generating random numbers on warmup and  would then settle in on the correct frequency one number at a time.
even when warm the stability of the readout is shaky. the radio itself works fine business. no drift.  i have checked for cold
joints, bridges and flaky components, but no joy on the readout. de ben k8dit tia
for any help.
