It seems that a lot of us have similar memories from that era. I wasn't
quite two years old when the war ended. The memory of all the horns blowing
and sirens going off is one of my earliest memories. Some of my family once
questioned that I could remember VJ Day since I was so young, but after I
described what I recalled, they admitted, "I guess you really do remember
it."
