[TenTec] OMNI VI+ Tuning Quirk

All:

While slowly tuning in 10HZ increments through a received carrier, I
noticed that the 10Hz incremental steps produce an occasional frequency
jump of approximate 30 or 40HZ up or down depending on the direction of
tuning. The display does not jump  frequency but continues to increment
smoothly from 1-0. If the encoder is at fault, the display would also
change with the frequency jump, would it not?. In addition, there may be
100HZ segments that tune smoothly without a jump. This occurs on all
bands. Even though this is minor, it becomes a problem if this jump
happens to show up on a net frequency.  Any suggestions?
