I talked to Paul at TT just yesterday about the same problem. His suggestion
was to add a 10 ohm resistor across the jack and a 100 ohm in series. There
is a 100 ohm in series inside the Corsair and OmniV, so you would have a T
pad. I use a pair of Telex and this still was not enough, at present I am
using a 1K in series. His other suggestion was a pair of 600 ohm headsets,
this might be a better solution especially if you operate CW. I make use of
the Tone control, Notch, and BP settings on my OmniV to control the hiss. I
also ride the RF Gain quite a bit. My .02 cents
