Experience in these parts, by the picky operators indicates that the
Timewave DSP series outperforms the MFJ and RS.

I have a DSP-59+ and it has quite good selectivity, is extremely
versatile, handles multiple carriers with automatic notching, and by
using the noise suppression (only works on random noise, doesn't not
help on nearly thunderstorm static crashes) with the AGC function it
converts signals that are audibly marginal to easy copy. The audio AGC
function can help get around the receiver AGC pumping of a strong
unwanted signal in the receiver passband that's being rejected by the
DSP filter much of the time.

The Tentec filters are hard to beat for handling static and such noises
without ringing. And the BP tuning can get most any narrower selectivity
you can ever desire. Even with just the stock filters, just takes a
little more finesse on the BP tuning...
