[TenTec] Omni V vs Omni VI plus

I currently have an Omni V. I used it mainly as an IF for VHF transverters
but have recently started getting into some HF dxing/contesting.
There are a few reasons why I'm considering getting an Omni VI plus, such as
computer control, more filter choice and DSP. On the negative I'm going to
have to get the transverter port added.
My question is - being that the Omni V is a good radio, is the VI plus a
major improvement? Looking for a few who have had both to get opinions from.
