Hello to everyone,
For the Operator that is not happy with their new 6+, I
understand that $3000 is a lot to shell out and bottom line
is that you are the one that has to be happy with the radio.
With that in mind, why not swap for another 6+ and see if
possibly the fluke was in first radio. If still not satisfied,
send it back. That's why TT gives you 30 days.
I've owned 2 new TT's, a Paragon II and an Omni+, an as
of yet have had no problems out of them. I am satisfied with
them in comparison to the other brands which I've owned. I
operate mostly SSB, too.
Specs look good on just about any radio, that area is
truly a hands on evaluation. And radios do vary from time to
time because of different suppliers of components, or different
lots, or just maybe it was 3:25 Friday afternoon.
My experience with birdies is that, not once have they
interfered with my recieve. They may be there, but to my
knowledge, I have yet to work around one.
Probably the biggest reason for me being a TT fan
is their support. While offshore companys can spew out millions
of radios year in and year out, service can become a problem.
Weeks can easily turn into months. For me, service takes
anywhere from an hour to a couple of days.(I live 45 minutes
from Sevierville.)
The 30hz stability problem that a few have is not a problem
on radio. It seems to stay on frequency>
Sorry about rambling so much. See youns later.
                                    73 Richard
