Bwah, ha, ha - the reason I think you should not use dual paddles is:

1. When  you assemble the key, you have to solder that pesky extra lead
for the second paddle.
2. Every time you insert the plug into the jack there's that unwelcome
second "oomph" as you clear the second contact. 

That about covers it, so, let's return control of the reflector to TT
items!
