And, just to think, the FT-1000MP just came down by $300 this week :-) .

Anyway, my real question: I have seen some data to support the notion that
even the Corsair I is better at rejecting close-in QRM than any of the
current top line rigs...does anyone have a pointer to such data on the
net?  I have always thought to experiment with my little 5 watt QRP rig
keyed in the parking lot with a mobile antenna a few hundred feet from my
HF antennas and test the Corsair II at, say, 4 KHz away versus the Kenwood
TS-850 or the FT-1000MP.  I know these rigs do better at 20 KHz spacing,
but they have an extra filter up in the 1st IF to help out.  Close in the
picture would be different.
